Mindfulness in Schools Project – “Happy Teachers Can Change the World”

The Yoga Garden situated in the Knepp Castle Estate in Dial Post are offering free workshops for school teachers so that they can learn techniques to take back into the classroom. They are also offering a free 5 class yoga pass for all teachers who take part in the project so that they can experience the benefits of Mindful yoga and meditation themselves.

Mindfulness is a technique used to help people deal with stress, anxiety and depression. It’s neurological benefits have been scientifically proven and are now well known.

It is also becoming a very fashionable term in the field of education. Looked at from an academic perspective mindfulness can help children to focus and concentrate better and can therefore lead to better results. With regards to educating the whole child the techniques learnt can help them become more self-aware, empathetic and ultimately happier. Contact Nina Fowkes to apply for this course: nina@theyogagarden.co.uk 01903 892 459 / 07789 000 641
