Libraries in West Sussex are holding a range of special events in March to help residents stay healthy and well.

As part of Wellbeing Month, more than 40 events are planned with highlights including:

  • Laughter workshops
    •  Dementia friendly film screenings
    •  Guided walks
    •  Help quitting smoking
    •  Wellbeing MOT’s

Mood-boosting books will also be on display along with a selection of self-help guides.

For children, there will be activities such as ‘Toddler time’ and story time sessions.

Debbie Kennard, Cabinet Member for Safer, Stronger Communities said: “Our libraries are at the heart of our communities and are safe, friendly and welcoming places, bringing people together whatever their age.

“There are some great events and activities planned for Wellbeing Month.

“Staying healthy, both physically and mentally, is so important and I would really encourage everyone living in West Sussex to visit their local library and try out one of these events.”
