JubyLee Bakes wins Lottery funding

JubyLee Bakes were one of five finalists (Meridian West region) in the National Lottery Community Fund’s People’s Projects competition. They received the greatest number of votes out of all 95 projects across the UK!

A Quarter Peal of church bells was rung in Thakeham on the evening of 1 May in celebrate their success.

Ellen Tomlinson, general manager of JubyLee Bakes, said: “We hope that work will begin on building the JubyLee Bakes Kitchen in July / August. Having our own kitchen will be life changing in the development of JubyLee Bakes as it will enable us to welcome a far greater number of learning disabled young people to join our team. We are very much looking forward to becoming part of the community around Thakeham, Pulborough and Storrington.”
