4Sight Vision Support Wellbeing Walk in October
4Sight Vision Support is holding the second of its fundraising Wellbeing Walks along Bognor Regis seafront on 1st October, and everyone is invited to take part. Starting at 10am, there is a choice of a 2, 4 or 6 mile route with a number of wellbeing activities along the way.
4Sight Vision Support provides support to blind and sight impaired residents of all ages throughout West Sussex, and the Walks are suitable for people living with sight loss, who may wish to walk independently or may sign up with a family member/friend to guide them. Trained sighted guides are also available, and can be requested at the time of booking.
The route is completely pathed so it is wheelchair and pram accessible, and dogs are also welcome.
Mayor and Mayoress joining Wellbeing walk
Walkers will be in good company, as the Mayor of Bognor Regis, Councillor John Barrett, and his partner Mayoress Carole Brett will be taking part. The Mayor recently chose 4Sight Vision Support as one of his Mayoral Charities for 2022/2023. Carole took part in the first Wellbeing Walk around the Angmering Park Estate in July which has raised over £1,225 so far.
Carole commented, “What a lovely journey of wellbeing! Such a chatty friendly group, and the team was brilliant keeping us on track and providing us with refreshments.”
Entry fee and sponsorship pledge
The entry fee of £10 per adult and £5 per child includes refreshments, a bespoke wooden medal and wellbeing activities. There is a special event T-shirt also available for £10. The fee covers the costs of putting on the event, so in addition participants are encouraged to pledge £50 in sponsorship to support the charity’s vital work.
The final Walk will visit Horsham Town Centre on 18th March 2023.
