Local Area Energy plans: How best to transition to a low carbon energy system? By a piecemeal approach or a planned approach?

Under the UK Power Networks future energy scenarios plans, work has been going on with the network operator and 271 local authorities to establish the smoothest way to transition to a low carbon energy future. Plans have looked at how or where best to establish EV charging, electric heating along with increasing renewable input into our electricity system.

This session plans to give an overview of how the UKPN/local authority partnership has progressed local area energy plans and how/why Community Energy groups should get involved.
