LGBT+ youth charity seeks Family Support Worker

Sussex-based LGBT+ youth charity, Allsorts Youth Project, is seeking to recruit an experienced Family Support Worker who can creatively devise, develop and deliver a range of services and interventions to support parents, carers and the wider families of LGBT+ – in particular, trans and non-binary children and young people.

The successful candidate will join a growing team who support LGBT+, exploring children, young people and their families to challenge exclusion, prejudice and discrimination in all areas of their lives.

Ben, Allsorts Family Support Service Manager, says; “The new worker will offer our existing Family Support Services, one-to-one support and parents/carers support groups, whilst developing some innovative and exciting new services such as a siblings group, parent/carer buddying scheme and more! We are very excited to be expanding this area of our work in order to meet the ever rising need for family services as part of a holistic approach to supporting LGBT+ children & young people across Sussex.”

Allsorts are encouraging applications from PoC, those with disabilities/neurodivergence and/or those who are from other marginalised groups in society, as these groups are currently underrepresented in the Allsorts workforce and the wider charity sector.
