Calling all West Sussex apprentices! Let us help you celebrate your apprenticeship success at a Graduation Ceremony at Chichester Cathedral.
Apprentices who have completed a higher or advanced apprenticeship with a West Sussex employer at any point from 1 January to 31 December 2017 are invited to attend.
The event is being held on Tuesday 6 March during National Apprenticeship Week. Apprentices who would like to attend should confirm, by Wednesday 31 January, using the following website – www.westsussex.gov.uk/graduation.
The event also includes a business reception for apprentice employers. Richard Burrett, West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: “This ceremony celebrates and recognises the achievements of all of our Higher and Advanced apprentices in the county.
“It also raises the profile of the wide variety of great apprenticeships available in West Sussex and the benefits they provide to both individuals and employers.”
Among those who will be attending is Jessica Coleman who has completed a procurement and contract services apprenticeship. She said: “I am enjoying the renewed confidence that comes with passing all of my exams and achieving my qualifications. It has ignited my desire to learn more and I’m now considering a higher apprenticeship programme.”
Graduate Clare Tivey, who graduated as a Level 3 Management apprentice last year, said that the graduation “…was a very proud moment”. She said: “It was lovely to receive recognition for the hard work. It was also nice to be able to include my family too.”
