Wonderful Weeks programme of activities

Offering families a day out outdoors, the theme this year is traditional games and pastimes. Each week features a different programme of activities and crafts which change daily, including nature trails, orienteering, singing and puzzles.

Week 1 – Natural World Games (Monday 1 to Sunday 7 August 2022)
Example activities: shadow puppets, nature trail, orienteering, craft boats and fern-pattern pottery.

Week 2 – Hobbies & Pastimes (Monday 8 to Sunday 14 August 2022)
Example activities: Shove ha’penny, postage stamp craft, make a finger puppet, sing a song, create a pressed flower card.

Week 3 – Team or Group Games (Monday 15 to Sunday 21 August 2022)
Example activities: Song or chant rounds, tag, capture the flag, bowling and quoits, team puzzle.

Week 4: Personal Challenges (Monday 22 to Wednesday 31 August 2022)
Example activities: Hoop and stick, egg & spoon distance challenge, memory game, hop scotch, and an obstacle challenge.
