Celebrations of Midsummer at Weald & Downland Living Museum
A traditional season of celebration, the Weald & Downland Living Museum will be exploring the history of midsummer and all the processions, parades and decorations of this time. From decorating with greenery, celebratory food and songs to some of the midsummer superstitions, there will be lots for all ages to learn about and enjoy.
A highlight of the weekend will be the showcase of a Tudor wedding and all the different stages of preparation right through to the ceremony and outdoor procession, which visitors can take part in.
