Event Date:
Start time: 19:30 An adaptation of the Shakespeare play ‘Twelfth Night’ using modern text and as a turn-of-the-20th-century romance Curzon Theatre Productions go to Illyria to bring Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ to life – this time as a turn-of-the-20th-century romance, inspired by the 1915 sinking of the transatlantic ocean liner RMS Lusitania off the coast of Ireland. In this new adaptation the language has been updated so all can enjoy. Lady Viola is washed ashore but her twin brother Sebastian is lost. Determined to survive on her own, she steps out to explore a new land. So begins a whirlwind of mistaken identity and unrequited love. The nearby households of Olivia and Orsino are overrun with passion… where music is the food of love, and nobody is quite what they seem, anything proves possible.
