A young woman is desperate for fame and a way out. A young man is pining after the woman of his dreams. A successful writer longs for a sense of achievement. An actress wants to fight the changing of the times. In an isolated chateau in the French countryside where dreams are in tatters, hopes dashed, hearts broken and there is nowhere left to turn, the only option is to turn on each other

The first of many new productions created by the Curzon Theatre Company, sees Chekhov’s tale of ambition, love, loneliness and fame in a new adaptation

Supported by The Curzon, Brighton, we will also be deepening its commitment to making theatre more appealing to a wider audience across all their shows at the Curzon – offering a live streamed performance on Friday 13th August.

Performances run for about 2h 30m, including two 20m intervals.
