People volunteer for many different reasons: some because they want to give back to their community; others to fill their leisure time with meaningful activity; some need to show they are an active, useful person on their CV or university application.
Volunteering is not just about giving though, it’s also about receiving! Volunteers feel a great sense of satisfaction and it can bring other benefits as well: you might increase your fitness by doing something physical, or make new friends or discover the social benefits of meeting and working with new people.
Did you know there are nearly 100 voluntary groups at work in Storrington, from youth groups to conservation groups, from community groups to local history groups. Many will be attending Storrington’s Volunteering Fair.
