Start time: 10:00 ‘Stemmed’ presents Lucy’s soft, woven forms alongside Ellie’s defined, linear glassworks. As Worthing Artists and friends, Ellie Bond and Lucy Rowan often share insights into highlights of recent exhibitions they have seen or art work they aspire to create. A recent trip to the Hepworth to see a Sheila Hicks show stirred up some ideas for this exhibition. The duo are eager to show how their work connects through a colour palette and a love of organic growth. The show aims to captivate and intrigue an audience through the installation; composition; formation and individual approach to hand crafting each piece of art. Gallery 2 contains a group collaborative piece by students on the Mixed Media Pathway as part of the Foundation Arts course at Northbrook College. The work is the result of a two day workshop run by Lucy Rowan.
