Talk – a journey of self-discovery around your body.

A talk by Alan Jones who will take the audience on a journey of self-discovery around their bodies. The aim is to provide unusual facts about the human body that we all take for granted, in an entertaining and accessible way, for everyone to understand what goes on inside and outside of each of us. The talk involves audience participation, demonstrations, and props, to bring the information to life.

Discover: bones stronger than concrete, nerve signals faster than a racing car, 100,000 heartbeats every day, how the blink of an eye makes the brain predict the future, why we all like different tastes and smells, and how the most common virus continues to defeat science.
