Steam Engine returns to Eridge Station

The last weekend to see two visiting Steam Locomotives at the railway including the sole surviving Steam Engine, South Eastern & Chatham Railway 01 No. 65, which is visiting courtesy of the Bluebell Railway and BR Ivatt 41313 which is visiting from the Isle of Wight Railway.

This is only the second time No. 65 has left the Bluebell Railway in preservation and brings the locomotive back to an area it used to operate many years ago.

A special timetable will be in operation between Tunbridge Wells West and Eridge over the weekend of Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th June.

During the weekend various Dining Trains and can also be booked in advance:

  • Saturday 24th June – Fish & Chip Lunch departing from Tunbridge Wells West
  • Saturday 24th June – Cream Tea departing from Tunbridge Wells West
  • Saturday 24th June – Murder Mystery departing from Tunbridge Wells West (day travel ticket holders can still travel on this train)
  • Sunday 25th June – Ploughman’s Lunch from Eridge
