Event Short Description

We are thrilled to be hosting artist Peter Walker’s immersive installation, Peace Doves.

Event Information

The Peace Doves  artwork is made up fifteen thousand individually handmade paper doves which are suspended above the Cathedral’s historic Nave. Each dove contains a message of peace, love and hope, written by local community groups, schools and members of the public.

Ahead of the exhibition over one hundred schools and community groups from across West Sussex, as well as the general public, will write a messages of peace, love and hope on their paper dove before being returned to the Cathedral for the exhibition, taking place from 30th September – 12th November 2023.

Peace Doves is an artwork that has been re-curated for different spaces as it tours the UK. Adaptations have been seen in many Cathedrals including Rochester, Liverpool, Lichfield, Derby and Sheffield.
