Event Date:
Start time: 10:00 Pauline Murray lives in West Sussex and her art practice has developed over the years. Pauline’s collages are inspired by the shape, pattern and colour of zinnia flowers and dahlias. Each artwork is hand crafted and unique. Pauline’s flower collages begin by layering prints in paint and ink onto cartridge paper using pressed botanicals, stencils and found objects, which she gathers herself locally. Some collages have linocuts printed onto the background. Others the addition of a little Japanese Sanwa paper or gold doodles which give it a subtle sparkle. The papers are then hand cut into petals and layers of petals are gradually built up to form beautiful flower heads. The collages are mounted onto acid free coloured board and presented in a softly painted, silver grey wooden frame with specialist acrylic glazing.
