A natural landscape, the garden at Champs Hill, has been developed around three disused sand quarries with views across the Amberley Wildbrooks to the South Downs. A woodland walk in spring leads past sculptures, against a backdrop of rhododendrons and azaleas. In summer the garden is a tapestry of heathers, which are renowned for their abundance and variety. The NGS have donated over £63 million to nursing and health charities and made an annual donation of over £3 million in 2021.
