Event Information

Free Arctic Adventure trail

Follow the trail around the gardens to spot the characters and ice landscapes Nellie encountered on her remarkable Victorian visit.

Look out for sculptures of an ice cave, polar bear and icebergs, plus new for 2023 is a mammoth skull. The centrepieces of the trail, created by community artist, Roy Kelf, with the help of local community groups, are sculpted from recycled plastic containers.

This winter wander will delight visitors of all ages and carries an important message of sustainability and the preservation of places of natural beauty.

Trail is free but normal garden admission applies.
