Cloud Cottage Open Garden in Ashington
The garden at Cloud Cottage has been created over the past 4 years to provide year-round interest. At the front is a sycamore underplanted with plants and bulbs, inc Epimediums, Hostas and Ferns.
The side and rear garden has a series of rooms with a large terrace, pond, mixed shrub and herbaceous beds, a Japanese style garden, a fruit and vegetable cage, greenhouses and further shrub and mixed borders.
The gardens are open in aid of the National Garden Scheme. The NGS have donated over £63 million to nursing and health charities. Their core beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
