Michael Wilkins is the Executive Director and Professor of Practice, Centre for Climate Finance & Investment, Imperial College London. Before joining Imperial College London in 2021, Mike’s career encompassed 28 years at S&P Global Ratings where he was a managing director and global head of Sustainable Finance with responsibility for the firm’s environmental and climate risk research activities. Previously he headed up the firm’s Infrastructure Finance Ratings analytical group covering utilities, project finance, PPPs and transportation in EMEA. A member of the Financial Stability Board’s Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) for five years, Mike holds an MBA (Finance) from Bayes Business School and a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Bristol.
