Start time: 08:00 Colin Matthews, ex CEO Highways England and London Heathrow will be joining. Collin obtained a First Class MA degree in Engineering at Cambridge and subsequently an MBA. He became a chartered Engineer and went on to hold engineering and leadership roles across a range of businesses. Firstly, at Lucas Girling and then the American General Electric Company. In 1997 Colin became Managing Director of the engineering division of British Airways. As Technical Director, he left British Airways in 2001. Colin was appointed Chair of the Highways Agency (Highways England) in July 2014, a post he held until 2020. He was also Chief Executive of Heathrow Airport (formerly BAA), a Non-Executive Director at Johnson Matthey PLC and Non-Executive Chairman at Renewi PLC. From 1 November 2017 he was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of EDF Energy Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the EDF Group. He has been a Christian since teenage years.
