Create beautiful lanterns to be used in the Carnival of Lights

Lantern Making Culture Spark workshop

Join local artist Sue O’Keeffe during May half-term in this lantern making workshop. Create a willow lantern to be used in The Carnival of Lights – a highlight of Culture Spark 2022, when a grand parade of lanterns created by local schools, groups and artists will dance through the streets of Chichester to the Canal Basin and to a waterside extravaganza.

Inspired by the anniversaries of Chichester Festival Theatre and other leading cultural attractions, Culture Spark will bring together artists, musicians and community groups from across the district to create a season of events that showcases work by local creatives.

This is a workshop that all the family can get involved in. Tickets are £5 per person and booking is essential as space is limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket price does not include admission to Petworth House.
