We are researching using the Censuses (1841-1921), the 1910 (Lloyd George) Valuation and the 1939 Register as well as Sussex Directories and local newspapers. The research is not straightforward – the Censuses often do not indicate house numbers or names. Directories are similar – no house names or numbers.
The West Sussex Records Office has no detailed records of the houses or trades conducted. We are therefore asking if YOU or any family/relatives have any information on Church Street house history or information and/or photos of who lived there and what they did.
