Start time: 10:00 Enjoy free guided and self-guided walks exploring the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Now in its 6th year, the Festival includes a mix of ‘turn up on the day’ walks and bookable walks ranging from 1.5 to 13 miles in length. Step back in time and journey through the ancient woodlands, winding lanes, country parks and great estates of Kent and Sussex. From stargazing to nature spotting to local history, there’s something for all ages and abilities. Volunteer guides come from a host of organisations including Sussex Wildlife Trust, RSPB, Worth Estate and British Pilgrimage Trust plus co-hosts the Ramblers and the High Weald AONB Team. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the High Weald being designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1983. Come together to celebrate this historic and precious landscape.
