Start time: 18:00 HTC announce their open-air production of A Midummer Night’s Dream at Sussex Prairie Garden A hilarious play of order and disorder, reality and appearance, and love and marriage. Set in Athens on a Midsummer night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites lurk and fairies rule. While the Fairy King and Queen bicker, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their workmates rehearsing a play within a play. Chief mischief-maker Puck is on hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth and that everything comes right in the end! Tickets are on sale via www.henfieldtheatrecompany.com, and at Steven’s Estate Agents in Henfield High Street from 17th April 2023 and also give you entry to the gardens from 6pm (normal single day entry fee to the gardens is £10). Why not bring a picnic and have time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings? Tea, coffee, cake and ice-cream will be available and there will be numbered seating provided for the performances.
