Deaf Awareness Training course

The Deaf Awareness Training course aims to understand and minimise the everyday barriers experienced between deaf people and the mainstream world.

This course is suitable for those who:

• Wish to acquire a basic understanding and awareness of deafness and deaf people

If you have never met a deaf person before or perhaps you work with deaf clients/colleagues and you feel you are not sure how to approach them or communicate with them, this course introduces the learner to basic-level knowledge and understanding about deaf awareness, what it means to be deaf, what can be done to improve access for d/Deaf people in society as well as a few basic but very useful sign language skills.
