Event Information

Slindon Bat Walk at Dusk

As the light fades, bats leave their roosts and hunt for moths, mosquitoes and midges. Join local ecologist, Emily Sabin, for a walk at dusk to discover the bats on the National Trust’s Slindon Estate. Using handheld bat detectors, you can hear them echo-locating as they flit through the trees. This is a great location for a variety of bat species and they can discuss their ecology, lifecycle, breeding and behaviour.

Every workshop has up to 10 attendees and is held in an informal, friendly atmosphere for the best learning experience. This event is suitable for children, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
