Start time: 19:00 In 1642 the English Civil War came to Sussex – and no town suffered more than Arundel. In 1642 the English Civil War came to Sussex, with royalists fighting parliamentarians. This year Arundel Museum is working with Chris Hare from the ‘History People’ to find out more about what was happening during the Civil War. During the war, West Sussex was on the front line: two invasions, two sieges, heretics, rebels, scavenging, and wrecking, and no town suffered more than Arundel. Join us for the first talk in March.
