Start time: 10:00 Around 900 local artists and makers exhibiting across the Lewes District this September. Artwave festival runs from Saturday 3rd September to Sunday 18th September. Discover work by local creatives in locations from churches and barns to private homes, studios and countryside settings. It is an inclusive un-curated festival which encourages creatives of all ages, any discipline and at all stages of their career, to take part. A wide breadth of work will be on show, including jewellery, painting, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, ceramics, metalwork and photography. Visitors can explore venues around Newhaven, Peacehaven, Seaford, Lewes and many of the surrounding villages. Take time to explore this part of Sussex and meet the artists and maker. Artwave is an opportunity to shop local and support the local creative community. All exhibitions are free.
