Start time: 10:00 16-25’s who feel passionate about local coast and want to see local wildlife thriving can take part in this Ocean Hackathon – a chance to contribute to marine wildlife projects in Sussex Find free tickets here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/ocean-hackathon-with-wild-coast-sussex-tickets For those who feel passionate about local coast and want to see local wildlife thriving, Wild Coast Sussex is inviting 16-25-year-olds to take part in this Ocean Hackathon, a chance to contribute to ongoing marine wildlife projects in Sussex. Workshop as they hack their way through current issues and find ways to tackle the big questions. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts. 10:00: Arrival: Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided ready for a morning of brainstorming new ideas. 10:30 – 13:00: Morning session: Keynote speakers (one of the keynote speakers has a guide dog who will be present on the day) will kick off the day before we split into groups and chat about the topics at hand. 13:00 – 14:00: Lunch (provided for you) 14:00 – 16:30: Afternoon session: Vote on favourite ideas and an opportunity to expand on these further throughout the afternoon. 16:30 – End of the day and opportunity to socialise (don’t forget to grab goody bags) Cycling: One of the best ways to travel to the De La Warr Pavilion is by bicycle. Find out more about the Coastal Culture Trail here. Bike stands are situated at the front (north) entrance of the building next to the auditorium. Bus: The Stagecoach Wave 99 bus runs between Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings every 20 minutes and stops right outside the De La Warr Pavilion. Train: the nearest station is Bexhill Staion which is an 8 minute walk. It is on the same line as Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings. Car: There is a car park at the De La Warr. Please be aware the Rother District Council car park outside the De La Warr Pavilion operates paid parking .There is metered parking on Bexhill sea front. Bexhill is roughly 15 minutes drive from Hastings, half and hour from Eastbourne and an hour from Brighton (traffic dependent!).
