Event Short Description

A unique village event run in partnership with Knepp Estate.

Event Information

Storrington and Sullington Parish Council will host the second White Stork & Nature Festival.
This event is run in partnership with Knepp Estate which is establishing a breeding population of free-living white storks in Britain, reintroduced to the UK after 600 years. It will take place on the recreation ground in front of the Chanctonbury Leisure Centre in Storrington on Saturday, 23 May , from 10am to 3.30pm.

The themes of the event are sustainability and nature with planning well underway on all fronts with stall holders and food concessions to suit all tastes. Plans include a series of talks, and our first dog training event. There is plenty to see and do with the fancy dress parade and competition for primary school children at 10am, farm animals which are very special guests again this year, youth activities including football and archery, crafts, plus dance and music entertainment.
