Start time: 19:45 Chichester Jazz Club presents the Roberto Bossard Quintet at the Pallant Suite in Chichester. The Roberto Bossard Quintet are based in Switzerland and their visit to Chichester is part of their European Tour. In a versatile repertoire, each member of the group brings their own individual qualities and creative spirit to a polished, harmonic sound that has swinging and electrifying qualities and a great atmosphere. Bossard is a guitarist and he plays a Gibson ES 5 dating from 1949. He is accompanied by Toni Bechtold on saxophone, Lukas Geret on piano, Bossard’s brother – Raffaele – on double bass and Dominic Egli on drums. They are planning to give a trio of Chichester University students the opportunity to play from about 19.30 for half an hour. Doors open at 18.45, the main group will play from 19.45 until 22.15 with a 20 minute interval. Seating is not numbered, there is a bar, air-conditioning and excellent sound and lighting.
