Start time: 19:30 Talk at South Downs Memorial Hall with Mortuary archaeologist Dr Dawn Cansfield The Midhurst Society invites people to the next talk at the South Downs Memorial Hall GU29 9DH, on Thursday 19 May at 7.30pm. Mortuary archaeologist Dr Dawn Cansfield will present the stories of ‘Ancient Dead of Sussex (and Beyond)’. She will discuss what the study of prehistoric burial practices and human remains can tell us about life and death in the ancient past. (Please note that this talk will include images of human remains.) Entry is free to members of The Midhurst Society and £3.00 for visitors. Wine will be served in the interval.
