They embraced modernism in diverse ways, drawing inspiration from different cultures and techniques. While some pursued social and humanitarian themes, others preferred an abstract approach. Despite their differences – and some clashes and quarrels – these sculptors have an enduring influence. The talk also discusses the distinction between sculpture and installation.
