Start time: 19:30 Compassion in World Farming The speaker for the meeting in November is Phil Brooke who is Research and Education Manager for the charity Compassion in World Farming, based in Godalming. CiWF is a farm animal welfare/environment charity which campaigns to get hens, pigs and rabbits out of cages. CiWF also works to decrease reliance on factory farming. Phil’s talk will concentrate on more humane and sustainable food systems – how we can feed the world without cruelty to animals and damage to the planet. The Midhurst Society meets on the third Thursday of each month at the South Downs Memorial Hall in North Street, GU29 9DH. Entry is free for members. Visitors £3 and Students £1.
