Event Short Description

Free practical workshop to help you improve strength, balance and confidence to prevent falls.

Event Information

Staying Steady is a free, friendly and practical two-hour workshop designed to help you feel steadier and more confident on your feet.

We’ll look at some of the everyday things that can affect your balance and what you can do to help yourself stay strong, active and independent.

During the workshop we’ll cover simple strength and balance exercises you can practise at home, confidence, home hazards, footwear and hydration. We’ll also talk through what to do if you do have a fall, including practical ways to get help.

The workshop is suitable whether you have had a fall, have noticed that you feel a little less steady than you used to, or simply want to be proactive about maintaining your strength and balance.

You’ll be able to work at your own level, and there’s no expectation that everyone will be able to do the same things.

The workshop is funded by Chichester Wellbeing and is completely free to attend.
