Start time: 10:00 A showcase of buses from Amberley Museum’s own collection. What can visitors see and do at this event? Watch, photograph and ride on a selection of buses from years gone by. The earliest bus at the Museum is a 1914 petrol-electric, and there are several buses from the 1920s and 1930s. There will also be a variety of buses visiting for the day. There will be bus rides all day, transporting visitors around the 36-acre Museum grounds with either the 1914 or a 1928 open-topped bus in service (subject to weather conditions). Polar Bear, along with another steam train, will also be running on our narrow-gauge railway to carry passengers around the site. We have visiting stall holders selling model bus displays, transport books, bus cards, prints and old timetables. Tickets must be pre-booked online for this event.
