Start time: 10:00 Zimmer Stewart presents the first exhibition in a new gallery in Arundel. For the first exhibition at The Tarrant Gallery in Arundel, Zimmer Stewart are pleased to show two established artists, one painter of landscapes and the other a figurative sculptor in bronze from 8 to 31 August. Nick Bodimeade’s subject for his new series of paintings is ‘Plenty’: Excited by last year’s mast or glut crop Nick has been painting fruits, blossoms, verdant growth and abundance. In response to this plenty, and surrounded by his subject matter in his Orchard studio, he fills his canvases with sumptuously handled paint and evocative colour. Christopher Marvell’s sculptures are contemporary classics, reminiscent of ancient or historic pieces. As he puts it, “None of my sculptures are meant to represent anyone or anything in particular. They’re just a head, just an owl, just a dog. They are emblematic: shapes, forms, and emotions.” The exhibition coincides with the 2026 Arundel Festival and Gallery Trail, which runs from 22 to 31 August. See their website for full details.
