Event Short Description

Calling all aspiring astronauts! This October half term, come on a space-themed expedition of our Solar System

Event Information

From Saturday 26th October to Saturday 2nd November, families can blast off on an exciting space-themed expedition of our Solar System, right here in Chichester city centre.
With a special Mission to Mars Passport in hand, explorers will need to follow the trail and visit the planets orbiting our city. Collect a stamp at each planet and learn fascinating facts along the way.
Look out for creative window displays at Winter’s Moon and Artisan Gallery by students from The Prebendal School, and join Jam Café for two fun-filled craft workshops on Monday 28th October from 10.30am to 12.30pm and Tuesday 29th October from 1.00pm to 3.00pm (booking advised).
Once all 8 stamps have been collected, return to Chichester Cathedral to hand-in your entry form for a chance to win signed books by local astronaut and author Tim Peake. While you’re in the Cathedral, don’t miss the opportunity to marvel at Luke Jerram’s awe-inspiring Mars installation that brings NASA’s imagery of the Red Planet to life.
