Event Date:
Start time: 10:30 Help us preserve the mills for future generations. Find out more at our Volunteers’ Coffee Morning. High Salvington Windmill and associated wind-powered machinery have been restored, and are currently maintained, by local volunteers. We open 14 times a year, operating open afternoons and events. Volunteers maintain the mills and site, run events and open days, mill flour, bake cakes, serve refreshments or in the shop, guide visitors around the mills, organise rotas, staff stalls and games, manage an archive, and, perform a myriad of back-office and online functions to keep Worthing’s heritage jewel in good working order for the benefit of the public while keeping the Trust tasked with achieving this in good health. The High Salvington Mill Trust has no paid employees and prides itself on providing a rewarding environment for volunteers. If you would like to help us, let us know via enquiries@highsalvingtonmilltrust.co.uk and we will send you details and invite you to our coffee morning for volunteers where annual training and information is disbursed.
