7 mile circular walk from Northchapel to the Temple of the Winds with Friends of the South Downs

Event Information

Heathland Sculpture Trail Walk

The Friends of the South Downs invite you to join this circular walk from Northchapel up to the Temple of the Winds to see the Tennyson Sculpture, part of the Heathlands Sculpture Trail. The walk will end with visit to Northchapel Church to see the Sargent Memorial Window, by the artist Wilhemina Geddes, described on her death in 1955 “as the greatest stained glass artist of our time”.

There is the option for a pub lunch at the Half Moon at the end of the walk.

This walk is part of a series of Friends of the South Downs guided walks to see all seven of the Heathlands Sculptures during July, August and September 2022.
