Graham Hughes first brought The Sunshine Kings to West Chiltington Village Hall not long after Keith Rushton first started running the club many years ago. The band was so popular that he has brought The Sunshine Kings back most years since. The music is rooted in traditional jazz and swing, but for The Sunshine Kings variety is the spice of life with a bit of a nod and a wink to more contemporary New Orleans, bluesy ballads, some original songs, some early vintage jazz styles. All guaranteed to surprise you, move you, bring a smile and make your toes tap. Graham has his own jovial way of tying it all together into a thoroughly entertaining performance which leaves audiences wanting more.
