Start time: 14:00 Visit the beautiful garden at The Folly Charlton and help support NGS charities including Macmillan The Folly is a beautifully kept and colourful cottage garden surrounding a C16 period house (not open). It is set the idyllic downland village of Charlton, close to Levin Down Nature Reserve and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and pretty cottages. It features herbaceous borders, well-stocked with a wide range of plants. There are a variety of perennials, grasses, annuals and shrubs providing a long season of colour and interest. There are peaceful seating areas to view the garden and enjoy tea and home-made cake, an old well and busy bees. The Folly opens for the National Garden Scheme on Sun 20 Aug (2pm-5pm). Admission £5, children free. Home-made teas. Book online or pay on the day. Visits also by arrangement 25 June to 20 August. .
