Start time: 10:00 Painter, printmaker & tutor Clare Buckle presents a selection of recent works Clare Buckle will be presenting the work of students on her Creative Journeys courses alongside a selection of her recent work. Clare’s work centers around landscape; monolithic industrial buildings, structures in the landscape and overlooked details in ordinary places, as well as the relationship between built and natural worlds and our impact on the environment. Through the inherent repetition involved in the process of printmaking, Clare explores atmosphere and mood through carefully considered variations in colour. Painting allows a more intuitive and spontaneous response to colour, light and shape in the landscape. The Creative Journeys exhibition showcases over 60 pieces of work by 34 students from Sussex to Canada and places in between and celebrates the resilience and bravery of continuing to create and show their work despite challenging personal or external circumstances for many.
