Start time: 09:30 Are you new to birdwatching and need a little help? Join us for our beginner birding event If you’re new to birdwatching, this is the session for you. They’ll take you through resources and equipment that will come in handy, give you hints and tips on how to enjoy watching birds and start working on your bird identification skills with a focus on garden and common countryside birds. There will be a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions so you’ll get plenty of time to practise with friendly helpers and you’ll have tea, coffee and biscuits to keep you going. Once you have got to know your garden birds then you can build on your knowledge through other ‘Birding for Beginners’ sessions during the year where we focus on birdsong, warblers, waders and ducks as seasonal highlights. Information on access around the trails Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for your adventure. If you have binoculars then do bring them along but they will have binoculars for you to borrow if not.
