Start time: 09:30 Get to grips with birding on our absolute beginner course! If you’re new to birdwatching, this is the session for you. They’ll take you through resources and equipment that will come in handy, give you plenty of hints and tips on how to enjoy watching birds and start working on your bird identification skills with a focus on garden and common countryside birds. There will be a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions so you’ll get plenty of time to practise with their helpers and they’ll have tea, coffee and biscuits to keep you going. Once you have got to know your garden birds then you can build on your knowledge through other ‘Birding for Beginners’ sessions during the year where they focus on birdsong, warblers, waders and ducks as seasonal highlights.
