The evening starts at 6pm in a stunning private garden next to the church with a reception offering drinks and light snacks (donations to St Giles Church appreciated) to the sound of St Giles’ church bells and with an exclusive preview of the Glory of the Garden celebration inside the church itself (for details, see the entry for Saturday 15 June). It then continues at 7.30pm in the church with a rare chance to hear in West Sussex four of the classical music world’s stars of tomorrow playing together, all Ambassadors with the world-renowned Benedetti Foundation, playing as a string quartet to open the festival. The Benedetti Foundation was established in 2019 by violinist and dedicated advocate Nicola Benedetti CBE.
