Start time: 09:00 Watch the River Arun Swimmers Event from great viewpoint A unique viewpoint to watch 400 plus swimmers assemble and set off on their classic annual Arun Swimmers Ironman (and woman) challenge event, a 3.8km distance swim from Ford to Littlehampton. Spend the weekend camping at the Ship & Anchor. Unwind and familiarize yourself with the starting point & enjoy great food & drinks. Our beer garden has stunning views of the river & countryside surroundings. After the race swimmers can head back to the pub for hot showers and a hearty lunch where you’ll be warmly welcomed with some great food, drinks and free parking. We’re just a short walk from Ford train station too. Enjoy Free Live Music from 7pm. All welcome. We’ll be serving breakfast with hot & cold drinks from 9am & we have a riverside decking area where you can enjoy watching the start of the swim. Competitors will assemble at the pub and the start will be just after high tide, 11:00am.
