Adam writes short stories, novels, essays and cultural criticism. He wrote the autobiography “Kid Gloves: A Voyage Around My Father.” His novels include “The Waters of Thirst”, “Pilcrow”, and “Cedilla”. His latest novel “Box Hill” was published in 2020. His first book of short stories “Lantern Lecture” won a Somerset Maugham award.
